The role:
Cititec Talent has partnered with a leading Trading company, who are looking to bring a Prinicpal Data Engineer into the team.
You will be part of the global Data Science and Engineering Team who are responsible for acquiring and handling market and fundamental data, utilizing advanced modelling methods, and offering cloud-based infrastructure accessible to research analysts, traders, and data scientists.
What you'll do:
- Build and maintain time-critical data integration pipelines (ETL/ELT)
- Design appropriate data models for a variety of internal and external datasets
- Contribute to the automation of processes on the trading desk
- Develop a deep understanding of technical projects on the desk to better serve commercial needs
Requirements:
- Understanding and experience implementing software engineering best practices
- Past experience Cloud migration experience
- Experience with enterprise-scale data systems
- Proficiency in advanced Python & SQL
- Expert in AWS data stack
- Experience in commodities, ideally power and gas
- Degree level experience required
