Contract: Day Rate Contractor

Reporting to: Head of Group

The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-calibre Digital Project Manager to take end-to-end ownership of digital delivery within our European operations. This role is a blend of strategic vendor management and hands-on project execution. You will act as the bridge between our European headquarters and 18 regional subsidiaries, ensuring that our digital and eCommerce platforms remain at the cutting edge of the industry.

The Core Mission

  • End-to-End Delivery: Own the life cycle of in-house and partner-led projects, ensuring they meet rigorous timelines and budget constraints.
  • Operational Excellence: Apply Lean and Agile methodologies to remove bottlenecks and drive non-linear productivity gains.
  • Vendor Partnership: Manage high-level relationships with external partners through structured QBRs and a shared Value Delivery Framework.
  • Risk Mitigation: Move beyond "management by exception" by proactively identifying potential trouble spots and implementing preventative measures.

Your Professional Profile

Technical Expertise

  • Agile Mastery: Deep experience in Sprints, MVP-centric design, and rapid iteration.
  • DevOps Culture: Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation within program rollouts.
  • Platform Knowledge: Professional exposure to SAP Hybris and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is a significant advantage.
  • Tooling: Daily proficiency in JIRA for tracking flow, velocity, and predictability.

Delivery & Operations

  • Resource Management: Ability to manage the "people supply chain," forecasting demand and ensuring resource fulfilment across distributed teams.
  • Governance: Ensuring 100% contract adherence and conducting rigorous BCP/compliance testing.
  • Experience: 3+ years in eCommerce/Retail is essential; 10+ years in Project/Vendor management is preferred for this seniority level.

Soft Skills

  • Influencing: The ability to negotiate and facilitate outcomes across a complex network of ~30 communication partners.
  • Adaptability: A "change-agent" mindset, comfortable in a fast-moving environment where processes evolve rapidly.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

  1. Stability: Achieving high predictability and flow in project delivery.
  2. Innovation: Not just following a brief, but actively contributing new ideas to the value delivery framework.
  3. Compliance: Maintaining a flawless record in quarterly audits and BCP validations.
  4. Relationship Equity: Building trust-based relationships with regional BI managers and external vendors.

Key Logistics

  • Standard Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
  • Flexibility: Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support critical project launches or emergencies.
  • Education: Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
