Data Governance Analyst - Collibra (Contract)

Job description - the role

On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for a Data Governance Analyst - Collibra for an initial 6 month contract based on a hybrid working model of 3 days per week from the Birmingham office and 2 days from home, on a day rate engagement via PAYE.

Purpose of the role:

As a member of the Divisional Data Office team the role holder will execute, and support the continued development, of data management controls. Primarily covering activities of data cataloguing and data flow lineage which facilitate the divisional business' understanding of the data they require, what is required to be under data management, and the requirements to set for data providers.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing the divisional data asset catalogue in Collibra, supporting Data Stewards in updates and new entries, as well as overseeing the certification of existing assets.
  • Maintaining the divisional view of system data lineage, reflecting deltas from the metadata sources, and executing the certification process with Data Stewards.
  • Supporting CTB activity to increase coverage of data management controls, both geographically and functionally within CAO.
  • Providing updates to data governance forums.
  • Liaise with CDO on changes to the bank's data management operating model, supporting and advising on the implementation within CAO.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders including CAO Data Stewards & SMEs, Data Producers, CDO, CTB Programme teams & Technology colleagues.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience of working in Financial Services preferably within Anti-Financial Crime, Compliance or other Non-Financial Risk area.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Data Management best practice with in-depth understanding of data risks and controls and how they manifest in a large Financial Services organisation.
  • Knowledge of industry standard Data Management Frameworks such as DCAM or DAMA, preferably with qualification.
  • Experience cataloguing data assets for business, technology, and governance, ideally using Collibra.
  • Experience ocumenting and maintaining Data Lineage, ideally using Solidatus, with the ability to understand lineage, data risks and controls.
  • A strong understanding of the regulatory environment, frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services.
  • Knowledge of Waltz, and management of technology asset information.
  • Knowledge of ClusterSeven, and management of end user computing information.
