NDE Technician (Contract)

Location: Cheshire Country: UK
 

NDE Technician with previous experience in Aerospace, MOD, Motor sport, Oil & Gas or Nuclear industry is required to join a leading defence manufacturing company in the North West

The NDE Technician role is crucial in the production process to ensure that products meet the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing non-destructive tests, interpreting technical drawings and specifications, and coordinating with the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities:

Conduct RT, VT, and PT tests on products at various stages of production
Interpret and adhere to technical drawings and specifications
Use quality instruments such as weld gauges, micrometers, and steel rulers
Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment
Document test results, corrective actions, and preventative measures
Comply with the process for the Control of Records and Document Control Process
Participate in defect mitigation activities

Requirements:

Strong understanding of non-destructive testing principles and methodologies
Proficiency in using Quality Instruments
Familiarity with ISO9712 standards and certifications
Problem-solving skills
Experience in a Manufacturing/Engineering environment
Valid UK driving license
