For a boutique consulting client specialised in the automotive sector we are currently searching for a Senior/Lead Big Data Architect.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a team of 8-10 big data experts
  • Develop Big Data architecture solution concepts and presentations for clients
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Big Data technologies, Big Data platforms and advanced Big Data analytics topics
  • Define, modify and optimise Big Data Infrastructure, software, performance or technologies
  • Support in change and escalation management through provisioning of Big Data architecture solutions
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other delivery units and take responsibility for the delivery of solutions

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor or Master degree required in informatics, business informatics, business administration or equivalent field
  • Minimum 4 years experience in IT, minimum 2 years in architecture
  • Proven experiences in leading Big Data and Analytics Projects as a Solution Architect
  • Experience with all phases of a Big Data project: Concept & Design, Development, Implementation/Deployment, Change, Maintenance
  • Know-how in Big Data platforms and solutions as well as BI/DWH methodologies
  • Proven experiences in Hadoop (MapR 5.2.2 and MapR 6.1) and innovative technologies on Hadoop ecosystems (eg Spark, HBase)
  • Experience with relational/non-relational database
  • Ability to coordinate and support projects efficiently and able to meet deadlines
  • Proven communication and presentation skills; fluent in German and English
  • Project Management with client facing experiences desired (planning, moderation, documentation)
