About the role:
Wilpinjong mine is located in the developing western coalfields of NSW (48km North East of Mudgee) and produces a high-quality thermal coal for domestic and export markets. In this role you will: be an effective team player; have strong safety and risk management focus; and have strong communication skills. Roster arrangements for this role are continuous rotating 7 day roster.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will complete planned an unplanned maintenance of Peabody Coal mining equipment as directed by the Leading Hand/Supervisor to the required standards.

About You
The successful candidates must be proactive team players, possessing Mechanical Trade qualifications along with:

A demonstrated commitment to safety as a way of life;
Prior experience in open cut mining maintenance;
Experience in maintaining and servicing excavators, mobile earthmoving equipment and fixed plant;
Knowledge of conducting safety inspections and completing JSEA's, Risk assessments & Permits;
A commitment to being an effective team player ; and
Willingness to work a 24/7 rotating shift roster.
